Longines – Dennison – Men – 1950-1959

440,00

Rare Longines Dennison, for the English market
33mm case, marked Baume, Longines agent of the time. The caseback also reads “Denisteel”, Dennison was a prominent casemaker, who produced several cases for Longines, Rolex and Omega. In the aftermath of the Second World War, import taxes were quite levied for importing complete Swiss watches, so many brands, including Longines, sent the movement and dial to be cashed in locally and in England this was done by Dennison.
This watch is therefore an important testimony of what happened in those years.

Coming to some technical data, the watch:
– mount the cal. 12.68Z in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photos
– the case and the case back bear the same ending (054), proof of the authenticity of the piece
– white dial with patina of time, mirrored indexes and leaf spheres
– serial 8.7M, dates the watch to 1951
