Dantine a Paris watch number 289
Wonderful verge watch in a gold double-jacketed case (at least 18K) with exceptional enamel and engraving work and pearl rings.
Front to open with pedant button. Outer ring with pearls (two missing) – enamel surface with black. Blue enamel circle with pearl crown (also two pearls missing)
Enamel dial with Arabic numerals and continuous dot minute scale on the outside. Steel hands with integrated cattle – blued. Elevator between one and two. Top condition of the dial.
Classic spindle movement. Nice work. Spindle bridge in floral design. Signed Dantine a Paris N. 289 and dated 4 – 1814.
Two winding keys for movement and time setting. factory working
As a collector’s item, the running accuracy and running time were not tested.
The finest reverse shows a pelen ring on the outside (one missing). In a blue ring leaves with enamel and a music lyre. An oval pearl circle (two missing) contains a blue enamel oval.
