French clock dynasty
Antoine Coliau was born in 1742 and was a French watchmaker of the Louis XVI era. Coliau became a master watchmaker in 1770 and worked in Paris until 1778.
Wonderful verge watch in a three-tone gold case (at least 18K) with exceptional enamel, applications and engravings.
Great case.
Enamel dial with Roman numerals and external continuous dot minute scale with Arabic numerals in fives in front. Playful hands – gold colored. Elevator at the two. Top condition of the dial.
Diamond Bezel – Complete
The reverse shows a fine enamel medallion in the middle with an original couple in the landscape in the finest colors. Surrounded by a diamond diamond circle. (Five stones missing) – then ornamental frame with flowers and leaves in tricolor gold.
