Igor Tuveri (pseudonym Igort, born 1958 in Cagliari, Sardinia) is one of the most important contemporary Italian comic artists and graphic novel authors. He is internationally renowned for masterpieces such as 5 is the Perfect Number, The Ukrainian Notebooks, The Russian Notebooks, and Quaderni Ucraini. Tuveri combines a cinematic, atmospheric drawing style with journalistic depth and political themes. His work is praised for its beautiful black-and-white technique, strong compositions, and melancholic atmosphere. In addition to comics, he is also a filmmaker and founder of the publishing house Coconino Press. He is regarded as one of the great names of modern European literary comic art.
