Shizuoka 2018 Private Cask no. 284 for Jwhisky.com – b. 2022 – 700ml aux enchères

This whisky was distilled in the last remaining pot still at the Karuizawa Distillery and aged for over three years in bourbon barrels before being bottled at a robust 52.4% ABV. It contains no colorants and has not been chill-filtered. A total of only 46 bottles were produced.

The label features two goldfish from a famous 19th-century Japanese painting. The design was printed on traditional Japanese washi paper. For protection, the bottle is wrapped in a traditional Japanese tenugui cloth. Both the label and the cloth were made in Japan.
