THE LOUIS VUITTON FOUNDATION AT YOUR HOME


In accordance with government directives, the Louis Vuitton Foundation is closed and all events and activities canceled until further notice.

In these exceptional circumstances, the Foundation continues to share content with its public and its community, which allow you to relive or discover some exhibitions, concerts, masterclasses, and events that it has offered since its opening in 2014.

Each week, the Foundation gives 3 meetings :
- Wednesday at 18 p.m. visit of an exhibition with the comments of the curators
- Friday at 20:30 p.m. great music concert held in the Auditorium
- Sunday at 17 p.m. concert of a class of students from the Cello Excellence Class, directed by Gautier Capuçon

These videos are available online on the Foundation's Facebook page and its YouTube account. On Instagram, unpublished content is disseminated (artists present in the Collection, quiz on works in the Collection, etc.).

"In tune with the world", exhibition presented from April 11, 2018 to August 27, 2018
(2018, 18 min, French version with English subtitles)

Since the first hanging of emblematic works from the Louis Vuitton Foundation Collection accompanying the inauguration of the Frank Gehry building in 2014, the Foundation has regularly presented different choices of works grouped around the four "sensitive" lines selected for the Collection : Contemplative, Expressionist, “Popist”, Music / sound (2014/2016), or groups of works as part of specific events dedicated to China (2016) andAfrica (2017).

"In tune with the world" reveals, in all the galleries of the Frank Gehry building, a selection of artists from the Collection bringing together modern and contemporary works, all mediums combined.

Concert of Lang Lang

After a dazzling debut at Carnegie Hall in 2001, a concert that revealed it, the prodigy rose to the rank of the biggest stars and his aura has now gone beyond the circle of the classical repertoire. Lang Lang became the piano phenomenon of the 21stst century. His concerts around the world arouse enthusiasm, especially in the interpretations of Liszt - one of his favorite composers.

Program : Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Tchaikovsky


  • Sunday March 29 - 17 p.m.

"Cello, vibrate" - documentary on the Cello Excellence Class
(2014, 54 min, French version)

The documentary traces the work of Gautier Capuçon with the 6 winners of promotion 1 of the Cello Excellence Class. Gautier Capuçon selected the 6 students of season 1 by audition and then accompanied them between December 2014 and June 2015. A musical immersion in the heart of the Frank Gehry building.
